ADMISSION POLICY
Oxford International School of Tunis (OIST) aims to provide a high-quality education to all students
who meet the following criteria:
1. Age Appropriateness: Students must be of the appropriate age for the grade level they are
applying to.
2. Academic Readiness: Students must demonstrate the necessary academic skills and abilities
to succeed in the OIST curriculum.
3. Behavioural Suitability: Students must be able to adapt to the school’s rules and regulations
and contribute positively to the school community.
At this age students will have morning and afternoon snacks along with outdoors activities during their schedule.
1. Complete the OIST application form.
2. Submit the required documents, including:
Passport-sized photographs of the student and parents/guardians
Copies of the student’s birth certificate and passport
Copies of the student’s most recent school reports and transcripts
A completed medical file
A completed OIST Terms and Conditions
Students may be required to complete an entrance assessment to evaluate their academic abilities
and English language proficiency.
Interview: Students may be interviewed to assess their suitability for the school and their potential to
thrive in the OIST environment.
Admission decisions are made on a rolling basis and are based on the
following factors:
The student’s academic record
The student’s performance on entrance assessments (if required)
The student’s interview performance
The availability of places in the desired grade level
Once a student is offered a place at OIST, parents/guardians must complete
the enrolment process, which includes:
Payment of the enrolment fee
Submission of the required documentation
Acceptance of the school’s terms and conditions
Please note:
OIST reserves the right to refuse admission to any student who does not meet the school’s admission
criteria.

Prospective Student Admissions Checklist
EYFS, KS1 documents:
• A copy of the applicant’s passport (information page only)
• A copy of each parent’s passport (information page only)
• Student passport size photo
• Parents’ passport size photo
• Student Medical form (Formulaire Médical)
• A copy of the Immunization Record
• Academic records, if applicable
KS2, KS3, KS4, KS5 documents:
• A copy of the applicant’s passport (information page only)
• A copy of each parent’s passport (information page only)
• Student passport size photo
• Parents’ passport size photo
• Student Medical form (Formulaire Médical)
• A copy of the Immunization Record
• Previous School Records/Transcripts/Test Reports for the last three school years, where this applies. If these records are
not in English, French or Arabic please provide an official translation into English.
• Standardized achievement test scores or high-stakes exam results, if applicable
• Any Psychological, educational or special education evaluations or records, IEP or existing individual learning plans.
Request application. You will be asked to complete an application as well as schedule an intake assessment and interview for
potential candidates. You are encouraged to bring all relevant documents in order to complete the application accurately.
Completion of application and collection of all required records is the responsibility of the family. Falsifying or omitting
information on any of the required documents may cause disqualification or nullification of acceptance.
Non-Refundable 50DT/student assessment fee is to be paid in order to be
considered for admission.
• Placement by year is according to the child’s age as of September 1 of the current academic year. We follow the
recommendations of the British School System strictly but will consider the extenuating circumstances of previous school
transcripts, academic ability, social development and placement tests, where necessary.
• Upon receipt of the complete application, school records, and payment of the application fee, candidates will be scheduled
for on-site admissions tests in English proficiency and mathematics. These tests will then be evaluated for admission but
under the age of 10, might not preclude enrolment.
• Further testing may be required for ESL and/or Academic Support.
• All enrolment and placement decisions are made by school administration and are not subject to appeal.

E- Official Enrolment:
In order to have the student(s) begin attending classes, parents must sign a Student Commitment Letter,
a Home/School Agreement and Family Commitment and other Financial Documents. Original documents are to be returned to
the Admissions Office. Parents will then receive an invoice from the Finance Office.
