Exam Center

As an accredited Cambridge International school, Oxford International School of Tunis has been an official Cambridge examination centre since the 2022–2023 academic year. Our first exam session began with the Cambridge Primary and Lower Secondary Checkpoint exams in the October/November series.

Our exam centre is purpose-built to ensure a professional and comfortable testing environment. It includes a waiting room, four examination classrooms with a combined capacity of over 100 students, all equipped with air conditioning, and dedicated toilets to accommodate exam candidates.

We offer two official Cambridge examination sessions annually:

  • May/June session – the main exam period. The registration deadline for this session is typically early February.

  • October/November session – mainly used for retake exams or students who prefer to split their subjects across two sessions. The registration deadline is early August for first-time entries and early September for retake candidates.

Our centre is open to both enrolled and private candidates. We support a wide range of Cambridge subjects, and even if a subject is not taught at our school, private candidates are welcome to sit for it at our centre.

In terms of practical exams, we are fully equipped to deliver:

  • Biology, Chemistry, and Physics practicals for AS Level in our specialised science laboratories.

  • ICT, IT, and Computer Science practicals in our modern and well-equipped ICT labs.

Oxford International School of Tunis remains committed to maintaining the highest standards in exam administration and academic support for all learners and private candidates.

Summer courses

Summer at our school is a time of growth, discovery, and renewed confidence. We offer a vibrant program that blends fun activities with supportive remedial classes, ensuring every student feels empowered and ready for the next academic journey. Whether strengthening their skills, overcoming challenges, or exploring new passions, students thrive in an engaging and uplifting environment. Our goal is to turn learning into an exciting adventure, where no one is left behind and every child finds the joy of progress and achievement.

Support System

At Oxford International School, we believe that every child has the potential to progress when provided with the right support, a student-centered approach, and a strategy tailored to their individual needs.

To uphold this belief, Oxford has implemented several initiatives aimed at enhancing student learning. For example, certain subjects such as Mathematics have been divided into differentiated classes—allowing teachers to give closer attention to students who need support, while also providing greater challenges to more advanced learners.

In addition, starting from the upcoming academic year, we will introduce a dedicated Support Session within the regular timetable. These sessions will be based on diagnostic assessments and followed by an individualized remedial plan. The aim is to provide targeted intervention and ensure that all students receive the help they need to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.

The Support Sessions will be scheduled as follows:

  • Early Years: 15:20 – 15:50
  • Primary: 15:30 – 16:00
  • Secondary: 15:15 – 16:00

These sessions reflect our commitment to personalized learning and academic success for every student at Oxford.

Parent-Teacher Association (PTA)

Oxford International School of Tunis firmly believes in the power of collaboration between the school and families to create a nurturing and high-achieving learning environment. The Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) serves as a vital bridge between parents and the school community, strengthening communication, trust, and mutual involvement in our students’ educational journey.

The PTA at Oxford aims to:

  • Encourage active parental involvement in school life and decision-making.

  • Promote a strong sense of community and shared values among families, staff, and students.

  • Support school activities, events, and improvement initiatives through volunteerism and fundraising.

  • Provide a platform for open dialogue between parents and school leadership to ensure transparency and continuous improvement.

As part of our commitment to inclusive communication and partnership, parents in each section of the school (Early Years, Primary, and Secondary) will have the opportunity to elect a parent representative. This representative will serve as a liaison between families and the school leadership, ensuring that parents’ concerns, ideas, and suggestions are effectively communicated. They will also help coordinate parent feedback, facilitate PTA initiatives, and strengthen the sense of collaboration across the school community.

All parents and guardians of students at Oxford International School of Tunis are automatically members of the PTA and are warmly encouraged to participate in meetings, projects, and events throughout the year.

Together, we can make a meaningful difference in our children’s school experience.
